Valentine’s Day {As good an excuse to craft as any!}

10 Feb

If you’ve watched TV lately or happened by a jewelry or candy store, you surely know that Valentine’s Day is less than a week away.  And while I’ve never really been head-over-heels for the day, I will definitely enjoy the chance to have some yummy Indian food with Adam this year! No matter how we feel about the day and its dubious beginnings {manufactured by the card companies and all that}, we could probably all use a nudge once in awhile to make sure the people in our lives feel loved and appreciated.

I, for one, also see it as a great chance to break out the crafting supplies and whip up some handmade valentines. I haven’t done as much of this as I would like as I am still getting my new workspace set up in the basement {update on that project coming soon!!}, but I thought I would share one valentine with you, as well as the source of some of my new favorite supplies!

Here’s the outside of the card, decorated with a baby envelope from Paper Source, red baker’s twine, and this adorable fabric tape from cute tape {love, love their decorative tape!}.

And here’s a look at what’s inside that cute little envelope. Can’t get enough of that fabric tape!

I hope you have a happy Valentine’s Day – whether you choose to celebrate the occasion or to treat as a day just like any other!
